It's been a whirlwind first two weeks at Greedy Reads -- in only the best ways. But, I've been remiss in spreading the word about our grand opening celebration THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 10! We'll be open during our regular hours (11-7) and selling books as usual, while also having a party.
It's an all day celebration, so come by anytime and stay as long as you'd like. We'll have snacks and drinks, giveaways and raffles every hour, and authors coming through to sign books!
- 11-11:45am: Amy Davis will sign copies of her wonderful Flickering Treasures: Rediscovering Baltimore's Forgotten Movie Theaters. Thoroughly researched and captured by a Baltimore Sun staff photographer, it's a look back at the majestic theaters, and the Baltimore, of yesteryear.
- 2:30-3pm: Eric Puchner is signing copies of his new paperback, Last Day on Earth. Publishers Weekly called the collection of short stories "Ray Bradbury meets Tom Perotta," which, hello? Is amazing. Everyone from Buzzfeed to Newsweek has raved about this collection so come on by and meet the author.
- 3:15-4pm: Devin Allen will sign copies of his iconic book of photographs, A Beautiful Ghetto. It's a bracing and, yes, beautiful collection that has earned Allen comparisons to Gordon Parks, as well as a Gordon Parks Foundation fellowship.
At 5pm, we'll have a champagne toast to celebrate YOU. Every single one of you who has visited in the past week and those of you yet to visit.
Keep an eye on our social media throughout the day for any last minute additions. I hope to see you there!
